I've been working with the elderly at a skilled living facility as part of my thesis research leading dance movement groups. After my group yesterday, the activities director showed me this video of a 92 year-old woman dancing with her 29 year-old great grandson. I had goosebumps the whole time. It's incredible.

I just received an email calling this video "an amusing hoax." Is there any way to verify its authenticity? If so, please email me at dan@powerdiversity.com and tell me. It looked authentic to me, but what do I know?

Oh no! I was hoping this was real, you can't tell too easily these days. I have no idea how to find the origin or credibility of the video. My apologies!
ReplyDeleteFrom all I have seen and heard, this is an elderly lady and her great-grandson. It would be pretty hard to fake this! Whenever I want to feel happy and uplifted, I watch this video. I truly hope it is as real as it looks!
ReplyDeleteThis is a great video. Thank you for posting it. I have it under my "favorites" and watch it quite often. The lady is obviously elderly and the two look enough alike so it is believable that he is her great-grandson. I love to watch the interaction between them, so even if it is some kind of hoax (which I doubt) it has brought me a lot of joy! I wish I knew more about them both.
